SAT scores are a key part of admissions- don't expect to get in with under a 2,000. A math score over 700 is essential for STEM majors, especially. If you are an International Student or from out-of-state it is easier to get in.

I applied and was lucky to get in. My recommendation is to visit the school and meet the professors. If you have an idea of what you want to study talk to someone in that department and find out what kind of coops the students are getting.

I got into Northeastern when it was just starting to get harder to get into. I went to a small, prestigious high school well known in college admissions circles, and almost everyone who applied from my graduating class got in.
