UWash-Seattle says:
"One reason we do not provide avg test score or GPA statistics to this website or any other is that students often think of these as minimums.  Although a large public flagship university with over 15,000 applicants each fall, the UW prides itself in using required essays and other additional information in a comprehensive review process that allows to consider students much like a typical small college might.  No, we can't admit everyone, but we admit a lot of students with great potential, not just great transcripts.  "

Don't try to hard to get into this school because it's not worth it. If I had gone elsewhere, I could have graduated sooner, happier, and motivated.

Its super easy to get in to this university, especially if you're out of state or international because they want your money. Its gonna suck trying to get into a major though if you're not a hyper competitive student. There is no direct admission for out of state or international students.

The admissions office looks the most at your 5 extracurricular mini essays. I got in with a 3.6 and an SAT of 2170 but many people with 1800's get in. Honestly, this isn't just a Stanford-caliber school that's easier to get into, this is a relatively easy school to get into with Stanford-caliber departments that need the same quality of students.
